What to expect when you bring your child to
Up Street Kidz
We know how precious your little ones are, so we do more than just babysitting here at Up Street.
For infants to age two, we provide a nurturing, safe, and fun environment in our nursery.
The Pre-School at Stepping Stones Community Church is designed for children ages 3 to 5 years. In a classroom setting, the teachers use Bible stories, music and various activities to help the children learn about God. Children will have the opportunity to worship, pray and hear a Biblically based “message”, that is designed specifically for their age group.
Nursery
How does it work?
The nursery is open 20 minutes prior to services so that you can get your child settled in. Make sure you sign in at the counter!
Upon check-in, a number will be assigned to your child each week for emergency notification.
Feel free to bring things from home that will help your child feel comfortable away from you, but please label them so that we don’t get them mixed up with someone else’s!
Food
Please bring your baby’s pre-measured formula, milk or water.
We will provide toddlers with a snack, but be sure to let us know if he or she has dietary issues, allergies, or other reasons that you might not want us to provide food for them!
If your child does have dietary issues or allergies, please make arrangements with the Up Street coordinators.
Hygiene
Diapers are checked and changed as needed. Please inform us if your child is potty-training and we’ll do our best to support the effort! (If so, bring a change of clothes – just in case!)
Frequent hand washing is required and hand sanitizer dispensers are supplied.
All toys and surfaces are disinfected after each session.
Clothing
We move around quite a bit sometimes, so please be sure your child is in comfortable, machine-washable clothing that won’t restrict movement.
Please include a change of clothing each time your child comes to church. Sometimes spilling occurs, and your child will be so much happier if they have something familiar to wear.
General Guidelines and Policies
We will release children only to parents unless otherwise specified.
Please be discrete should you need to check on your child — separation is easiest for your child if done quickly and with clear communication that you will be back to pick him/her up soon.
In order to insure the safety and health of other babies and workers, please don’t bring your child if he or she has had any of the following symptoms within the past 24 hours:

| Open Sores (mouth sores) | Eye Drainage | Any other signs suggesting possible illness |
No medications will be administered by our staff or volunteers (this includes Orajel).
Pre-School

General Guidelines:
- The Pre-School program runs concurrent with the adult worship service.
- Please be sure to sign-in your child each week at the check-in station.
- Upon check-in, a number will be assigned to your child each week for emergency notification.
- We will release children only to the parent/family member that signed them in, unless otherwise specified.
- Separation is easiest for your child if done quickly and with clear communication to your child that you will be back to pick him/her up soon. Please be discreet should you need to check on your child.
